DaycareThe process begins with the woman undergoing hormonal stimulation to produce multiple eggs. These eggs are then collected through a minor procedure called egg retrieval. Simultaneously, the male partner provides a sperm sample. In ICSI, a single healthy sperm is directly injected into each mature egg under a microscope. The resulting embryos are monitored, and one or more are transferred into the woman’s uterus.
IVF-ICSI is typically advised in cases of male factor infertility (low sperm count, motility issues), unexplained infertility, previous IVF failures, or when the sperm cannot naturally fertilize the egg. Using one’s own gametes allows couples to retain a biological connection to the child while benefiting from highly advanced reproductive technology.

While not every cycle results in pregnancy, ICSI significantly improves fertilization chances in cases with male infertility.
