• Dr. Ashwani Maichand is a distinguished orthopaedic specialist with extensive experience in the field, particularly in joint reconstruction. His journey began in 1987 at Government Medical College, Rohtak, where he completed his undergraduate studies. Following his graduation, he pursued post-graduate education at S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur.
• Currently, Dr. Maichand serves as the Senior Consultant and Head of the Minimal Access Orthopaedic Surgery (Knee & Shoulder Division) at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. Additionally, he holds the position of Honorary Consultant for the Special Protection Group (SPG). Dr. Maichand's post-M.S. career has been marked by significant collaborations with leading experts in joint replacement and arthroscopy both in India and internationally. In 2009, he earned his M.Ch. from the American Institute of Medicine.
• To date, Dr. Maichand has successfully performed over 6,000 joint replacement and arthroscopic procedures. Before his tenure at Fortis Hospital, he contributed his expertise as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon in the Joint Replacement Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and as the Head of the Joint Replacement Department at B.L.K. Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi.
