• Dr. Giriraj Bora is a highly skilled consultant in Liver Transplant and HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) Surgery. A graduate of JLN Medical College, Ajmer, he pursued his training in General Surgery there before advancing as a Senior Resident in GI Surgery at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. He later completed an MCh in GI Surgery at GB Pant Hospital, Delhi, where he refined his expertise for three years. Initially practicing as a Consultant GI Surgeon in Jaipur, Dr. Bora shifted focus to liver transplantation, joining CLBS as a Fellow in Liver Transplant and HPB Surgery in 2011.
• In January 2013, he accepted the position of Consultant at CLBS, becoming a vital member of the surgical team and actively contributing to donor evaluation processes. His expertise includes liver transplantation and liver resections for hepatocellular cancers, combined liver-kidney transplants, and complex pancreatic surgeries, such as Whipple’s procedure for pancreaticoduodenal resections.
• Dr. Bora’s research emphasizes hemodynamic changes in liver transplantation and during IVC cross-clamping in living donor liver transplants (LDLT). He has published extensively in liver transplantation and GI surgery and presented his work at prominent conferences, including the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) meetings in San Francisco (2012) and Sydney (2013).
